After lunch, cleaning up the turtle aquarium. OMG, the water so smelly eventhough I change it everyday n we installed the water pump too...time to build the outside aquarium for the turle...hallo mr contractor, what happen to the quotation?

Then, start packing all the stuff I need for the trip to Phuket tomorrow...I'm travel alone this time coz my hubby will fly the aerobatic plane ( PITTS S2B ) so I have to fly with Firefly...gosh, hate to carry those suitcase myself:((

I'm busy so I don't have much time to snap new photo's of my recent xtvt but to make up for it, I downloaded some of the photo's from my last trip to Cranberra, Australia. We rent a campervan from Britz which big enough for 2 person to sleep in, complete with toilet n shower n cooking area too. Did I mentioned, they come with fridge too. Enjoy!

Sorry for not updating this blog regularly...I'm kind of tide up with personal matters and also busy with travelling... I will be leaving this Friday to Phuket for a few days to celebrate my hubby's friend wedding...in addition to that, my hubby will be performing interesting aerobatic maneuver at Surin beach, Phuket...I'll try me best to capture some of the action n will post it in Aviation Climaxxx blog as soon as I'm back in Penang...BTW, today as part of my weekly baking ritual, I manage to bake this lovely n colurful Rainbow Cake...I've baked rainbow cake before but this time I'm using a different recipe and the cake turn out so soft n moist...And I love it so much...

As I mentioned before, my hubby is a hobby pilot and love to fly aerobatic. So, we check out from Thistle Hotel and check in to La Grandeur Senai for the aerobatic practise over the weekend. This hotel located just 5 minutes from Senai airport and it save us a lot of time to travel to airport n hotel. That's means more time for my hubby to do his practise from morning till late afternoon. We stayed here just for one night before I fly back to Penang. Let's see what the hotel room look like...

As promised, here is some of the photo's taken during my last week trip in Johor Bahru. Sorry, only the photo's of the hotel room where we stayed everytime we're in JB. I don't do much while I was here coz most of my friend have to work and I ended spending my time alone. And my hubby have to work non-stop as usual too:(( Anyway, I manage to do a bit of shoe shopping here and well I ended up buying 6 pair of it ( 1 pair of leather boot, 3 pair of 5 inch wedges, 1 pair of flat and 1 pair of 2 inch wedges ). My hubby will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow. And I'm totally have no idea what kind of cake to bake for him. He's been doing a lot of different thing in his life and I want to bake a cake to represent that. So, I decided rainbow cake is the best option. But I never bake this fancy cake before so I ask my Sifu, Ina to help and teach Me. This morning, I went to her house for the class which started around 9.30 and finish about 1. I'm so happy that I manage to bake this cake for my hubby birthday tomorrow. And to Ina, Thanks a millions for your willingness to help and teach Me eventhough you're already busy with those orders. Appreaciate your kindness and I hope to be back to learn more from you;)

After hour and hour on the bike, finally we reached the border town. I was relieved because I can't wait to be home, missing my bed and my turtle...It's raining but thankfully the imigration process was fast and easy. We stop for a while for photo's op and continue out journey back home. All and all, it took us almost 12 hour from Phuket back to Penang. But having to say that, I'm still look forward for our next riding adventure in the future.

Some photo's from new year eve gala dinner at our hotel. We just stay for the dance & game then we left for beach walk. There was thousand of people along the beach flying the lucky balloon and also play the fire cracker. It totally breathtaking view to watch all the light up the sky. But because of some advise from the local, we decided not to carry our valuable like camera n handphone during this night. Too many drunken people or thief that may take advantage of the situation. I kind of regret it coz no photo's of the night but better safe than sorry...

Muay Thai

While in Phuket, we went to watch Muay Thai held at Bangla Boxing Stadium. We took taxi from our hotel and arrives there right before they start the first match. There were at least 10-15 fight a night but after watching a few match, I had enough of it. Too much violent and not much sport ( my opinion only ).

First match was between 2 local kid from different Muay Thai club. They look tiny and small but very fierce when the match started. 5 round for each match and the final round, the winner was chosen base on their performance.

Second match was between Thai girl and some western girl. The Thai girl win the match eventhough she's so tiny compare to the western girl. Still don't get it why they want to beat up each other? Sport or just plain stupid?

Bloody fight

One of the match that freak me out was the match between the Thai man n the western man. After fighting for a while, somehow the westerner got cut on his head and start bleeding non stop. Just blood all over the ring but he determine to finish the match. At the end, he lose but walk out as a hero...never give up N keep on fighting till the end...

Among the attractions is Tiger Jungle Adventure where you can get friendly with White Tiger, White Crows, White Peacocks and many more. In Similan Entertainment Center, kid or even adult can indulge themselves for underwater themed games set within a giant undersea cavern. But for our visit, we choose to go to Palace of the Elephant where acrobatics, magical illusions, exciting stunts and elephant performances featuring over 30 elephant in one unique and unforgetable theatrical experience. Unfortunately, no camera or handphone allowed in the theatre so no photo's from the show. You have to come here to know what so special about this show. What I enjoyed most from the show:) was the elephant show n the acrobatics...

I've been to Phuket a few times before this trip, however because of the tight schedule, I never manage to join the Thai cooking class. But for this trip, I'm in luck coz my hubby have to visit his friend and I don't feel like tagging along with him. So, I registered myself and Su at Blue Elephand Governor Mansion Cooking School & Restaurant for Cooking Course on Royal Thai Cuisine with Chef Charles B. The class begin with market tour and then the cooking session. We spend almost 1 hour at the market and Owen ( our guide ) bought us some fruit and local snack, I try the fruit but not the snack coz not sure whether it Halal or not.

After the market tour, we head back to the Blue Elephant where Chef Charles B waiting for us and the cooking class begun. There's about 10 people including Me n Su in this class...Chef Charles B shows us the ingredient needed for the dishes and start cooking. Then he invites all of us to try the dishes and when we done, it's time for us to cook our version of the dishes. Let's see what happening in the class;)

As promise, this is some xtvt while we were in Phuket. Yes, I'm 35 years old but I'm always young at heart, that's explain why my hubby have to bring me to the Phuket Aquarium. He even say it loudly to his friend, Rolf " this what happen if you marry a young wife, they like to do kiddy stuff ". The aquarium visit was nice, the aquarium itself was relatively small but clean and they have quite a number of different fish. We're there almost an hour before we head back to town. I can't remember most of the name of the fish but if you want to know more, just visit Phuket Aquarium...

Koh Phangan-Donsak-Krabi-Phuket

After a few days in Koh Phangan, we agree that it's time to ride to Phuket. It's the same exercise as before where we took the ferry from Koh Phangan back to Donsak and from there, we ride to Phuket. Su, Rolf future wife is joining us to Phuket. The rides takes couple of hours and we saw some interesting scenery and stuff along the way...

Penang-Hat Yai-Songkla-Donsak-Koh Phangan

As I mentioned in my earlier post, our year end holiday will be in Thailand. On Dec 23, 2011 three of us ( Me, hubby & Rolf ) start our journey to Koh Pangan with stopover in Hat Yai. We leave Penang around lunch time and have to stop for imigration n insurance at R & R Gurun. Then after all sort out, we continue to border town Hat Yai.

One thing I hate about going to Thailand via Hat Yai was having to queue up for hours and then after they process your passport, the imigration officer will cheekyly ask for money. Why on earth that we Malaysian have to pay to enter their country? Anyway, done with imigration and we ride to Hat Yai town to check in to the hotel. The rain started and luckily we found our hotel soon after. Hansa JB Hotel was our choice of accomodition for this trip. At night, heavy rains and we ended up taking a Tuk Tuk to go to the restaurant...what a waste of money:(

From Hat Yai, we continue our journey to Songkla. Nice ride along the way but unfortunately it just rainining non-stop so I don't care to snap any photo's. I wish we have time to visit the famous mermaid statue located at Laem Samilla, Songkla but since we're on schedule, we have to skip the visit.We decide to take a ferry to go across to Donsak. 3 of us look like a sore thumb among the local whose waiting to board the ferry...but hey, who cares, we here for the holiday and hopefully help to generate some income into the tourism of this country. Next stop will be another ferry ride to Donsak...

We arrived at the Donsak jetty and then continue our ride to Raja Ferry Port that will take us to Koh Phangan. This was my first visit to Koh Phangan. Our friend, Jaep and Athur live in Koh Phangan and it was nice to finally be able to visit them. The ferry ride from Donsak to Koh Phangan normally takes only 2 1/2 hours but since it raining and rough sea, the journey took longer than expected...3 1/2 hours to be exact.

By the time we arrived Koh Phangan pier, I'm totally exhausted and just ready to sleep. Anyway, our friend Athur was there to show us the way to the hotel so it's nice to not worried of getting lost in this unfamiliar place. Anyway, made it to the hotel and quickly check in, freshen up and ready for dinner. FYI, we're staying at the Best Western Phanganburi Resort.

Are you Malaysian? Well, if the answer is YES, then you must recognize this two favourite cartoon character, Upin and Ipin. I was in Muzium Negara with my Adik Nu family and Mak for the Upin & Ipin event and lucky enough to meet them in person. I don't watch this cartoon programme but my sister kids is big fan of Upin & Ipin. Finally, I have time to update this blog...Just finish baking a birthday cake for my Adik Nu and 4 type of tart...for those who been doing business in this line, maybe it will be easier for them...but in my case, I just do this for fun and I get excited everytime my family member celebrate birthday or anniversary, that when I get busy baking away...So today, as requested by Adik Nu, I manage to bake her super moist chocolate cake and tart...I do ask her to just buy the cake and the tart from the bakery but she refuse...saying that what I bake for her is out of love and taste much better...he3...feel proud of myself, as long as I can make my Adik Nu happy then all those work in the kitchen have paid off...Love you, Dik..

Last weekend, we went to Johor Bahru and we fly with Air Asia. This is my 3rd time flying with Air Asia and while my hubby falling asleep on the way down ( we took the earliest flight at 7++ A.M. ) I'm having fun taking some snapshot of myself & my handbag...yep, my handbag get her own seat too...We choose to stay at La Grandeur hotel because it closer to airport so it easier for us to move between airport and hotel since we here to do some flying with our plane, Lance and my hubby will be teaching our friend, Ken aerobatic flying using the Pitts...Then, after flying xtvt for 2 days, we move to JB town and stay at Thistle hotel. Hubby have to work so I managed to visit the newly open Johor Premium Outlet in Kulai Jaya. I have fun shopping there but still prefer the premium & factory outlet oversea coz they offer more choice and bigger saving ( just my opinion ). So here some of the photo's of my quick & fun trip to JB...

I never use Apple product before except for Ipod so when my hubby bought Me the Ipad2, I'm totally lost...no clue how to use it and I have to say, I almost giving up...but then, I realize that, the Switch provide free classes for any customer who bought their product ( Ipad, Imac & etc )...So, after my lunch with Stef, we went to join this class at Switch Queensbay Mall...the class start at 3 and we finish around 4.30...I'm glad I've joined this class coz now I'm more confident to use my new Ipad2...

It's time of the year...Crabtree & Evelyn sale is back and this time it totally out of control...I was in Gurney Plaza just 10 min after 10 but there was such a long queue outside the shop...everyone was so eager & ready to shop till they drop...anyway, after standing and waiting for more than an hour, I give up...firstly because of my knee and secondly I have other important thing to do...So, late afternoon, I try my luck again...This time I'm lucky coz it only about 20 people infront of Me, so might as well wait...Finally, after so much of time wasting, I manage to get it the shop and ready to grab all my fav stuff...yep, I spend quite a lot today but it all worth it...who does'nt need shower gel or lotion or scrub or etc...I do so guess nothing wrong pampering myself once a while:) Let's see what's I bring home with Me this time...

Last nite, we had our small bbq dinner with some of our close friends. I prepare all the food and my hubby in charge for marinating the chicken wing and steak. My task include preparing the prawn, stingray, green salad and german potato salad. Our guest include Hubert & Christine (our neighbour n best friend ), Abby & Ken, Graham & his son, David. They arrived in Penang from Bernam River ( they fly in with they own plane ) around 1.30 p.m so my hubby went to pick them up from the airport while I stay home baking Kent surprise birthday cake. Unfortunately, while decorating the cake, I accidently swing the turn table ( for cake deco ) too fast that the cake slide from it and fell on the floor...I'm angry for my carelessness so when they arrived at my house, I sneak out with Ken's girlfriend, Abby to get the replacement cake...does'nt taste as good as we expected but hey, it better than nothing...overall, everyone enjoying themself and Kent was really surprise when we bring out the cake and sing a birthday song for him...
